Sony's new system farther off than expected

It was stated that they wanted to be able to give consumers a solid gaming platform and that it would take more time. There are no plans to cut the price of the Vita when it is finally released in the USA, Sony claimed that they don't see Nintendo's cut back on 3DS pricing as a threat to their sales of the Vita. With no solid release date as of yet, Sony says that the Vita console will be available to Japan at the end of this year, no word on when it will be released in the USA.
